Hawaii Gov. Ben Cateyano recognized Honolulu-based WorldPoint Interactive Inc.

Hawaii Gov. Ben Cateyano last week recognized Honolulu-based WorldPoint Interactive Inc., a software company that has developed a new translation tool that can interpret and edit documents in 18 languages.

"WorldPoint looked ahead to identify an emerging need, staked out its area and is meeting a string of demand in the global marketplace," Cateyano said.

WorldPoint is just one of many technology companies the state has assisted, and Hawaii already is experiencing significant returns in their investment, said Seiji Naya, director of Hawaii's Department of Business, Economic Development&Tourism.
