California Motorists to Register Vehicles Online

California residents soon will be able to register their vehicles online with the Department of Motor Vehicles, said Gov. Gray Davis last week in his State of the State address.

Davis said online vehicle registrations through the Department of Motor Vehicles is in the works, as is a heightened electronic government presence and a new e-mail system where citizens can send him messages and receive direct replies.

The complete text of Davis' speech can be viewed and heard online at www.state.ca.us.
