Spreading the word

The National Cancer Institute suggested other programs that could help spread

the word about cancer prevention:

n Placing cancer information kiosks in public places.

n Setting up free Internet services and terminals in drug stores,

supermarkets, libraries and other public facilities (above).

n Developing culturally sensitive, user-friendly cancer information

programs.

n Making Web sites available in different languages.

n Airing public service announcements describing different kinds of

Web sites.
