Eliminating redundancy

Under the share-in-savings agreement between the Education Department's Office of Student Financial Assistance Programs and Accenture, the company developed a plan to shut down OSFAP's Central Data System, which had 12 basic functions within the agency's Direct Loan Program. CDS was shut down on Nov. 18, with no downtime to the Direct Loan Program.
