FCW.com, Federal Computer Week and civic.com received four national awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors last week.

As part of its 23rd annual National Excellence Awards, ASBPE (www.asbpe.org) handed out the following awards June 21:

* FCW.com won a gold award as the best overall Web publication.

* For government coverage, Federal Computer Week received a gold award, and civic.com won a bronze.

* In the graphics division, Jeff Langkau, FCW's art director, and designer Larry Ruggeri received a gold award for civic.com's November 2000 cover, "Weighing the Options." This computer-generated cover also won first place during ASBPE's East Region awards presentation earlier this month.

ASBPE's annual awards competition recognizes excellence in editorial content and graphic design of business magazines and their associated Web sites. The judges are experienced business publishing professionals and include editors, editorial directors, publishers, consultants and designers.
