One of the Orkand Corp.'s recent wins was with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In August, CDC selected the company to provide information technology-related support of its National Center for Health Statistics.
Awarded under the IT portion of Orkand's General Services Administration corporate contract, the task order includes a one-year base period and four one-year options. The task started Aug. 15.
Under this award, the center can issue work orders to Orkand for various IT-related tasks, including health and medical data analysis, statistical programming, database accessibility, modeling, support and data warehousing.
