Who’s who in the new Congress

With GOP in control, congressional committees get a new guard

With Republicans in control of both houses of Congress, one of the first, most obvious changes in government is in the makeup of congressional committees. Here’s the state of the assignments for the 108th Congress.

The leadership of several subcommittees important to the shape of government IT is still unresolved—Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.), the new chairman of the Government Reform Committee, is reportedly considering folding the Technology and Procurement Policy Subcommittee into the full committee. The leadership of one such subcommittee, on Telecommunications and the Internet, appears set.
