From the editors

The March 17, 2003, Bureaucratus column included four passages that were similar in phrasing and content to an article that previously appeared on Government Executive magazine's Web site, govexec.com.

Federal Computer Week editors believe the similarities violate the accepted standards of fair use and FCW's journalistic standards. FCW editors apologize to Government Executive for the misuse and to our readers for misleading them about the source of the information.
