Round of applause

Following the testimony from Thrift Savings Plan officials at last week's House Government Reform Committee hearing that Web site malfunctions had been corrected, Rep. Jo Ann Davis (R-Va.) said she had sent a staff member to access the TSP Web site a few minutes earlier.

She said her staffer had been unable to reach the site, instead finding a message that it was "under maintenance." The remark caused a brief round of applause from citizens in the gallery.
