Former DOD official joins integrator

Alan Ptak, a former deputy assistant secretary of defense, has joined systems integrator BT Syntegra plc as president of its federal subsidiary in Washington, D.C.

Ptak has also been deputy assistant secretary of state and staff director for the U.S. Senate Veterans Committee. He has held executive positions at several private sector firms.

Ptak will lead the development of BT Syntegra's systems integration business with the federal government, according to Syntegra officials.
