SAP certified for feds' financial needs

An enterprise resource planning system from SAP Public Services Inc. has been certified by the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program as meeting the requirements for core financial systems for federal agencies.
The JFMIP stamp of approval means that agency officials can buy the system, mySAP ERP, without wondering whether it meets federal requirements.
The certification comes under updated JFMIP requirements that reflect the need to support new mandates throughout government, according to SAP officials.
