OMB comptroller to leave

Linda Springer, the Office of Management and Budget controller, will resign her position, OMB officials said today.

Further details, including when her resignation becomes effective and her future plans, will come later, officials said.

Springer has been the agency's controller since the her confirmation by the Senate March 31, 2003.
