CFOs get their own Web site for metrics

Need to figure out how a government program measures up financially? Then check out the new Metric Tracking System launched by the Chief Financial Officers Council.

The MTS Web site provides feds and the public a way to view management goals against a series of standard financial indicators, said Linda Springer, controller for the Office of Management and Budget and chairwoman of the council.

The site displays detailed information on how agencies score on indicators such as reconciling cash balances, collecting delinquent payments and paying vendors electronically.

To visit the site, go www.gcn.com and enter 353 in the Quickfind search box.
