SRA hires general

Billy Solomon, a retired three-star Army general, has joined SRA International as vice president of deployment and distribution support.

The company's deployment and distribution support business program provides information technology services and solutions to the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, the Military Sealift Command, the Defense Logistics Agency, and the Army Installation Management Agency.

"I'm pleased to welcome Bill to the SRA management team," said David Kriegman, SRA chief operating officer, in a written statement. "SRA is committed to providing our clients across DOD with logistics and supply chain application support, and Bill’s knowledge and experience will strengthen our capabilities in this area."

After retiring in 2002 from his 36 years in the Army, Solomon became president and chief operating officer of Metters Industries, a small systems engineering research and development firm.
