Turco named GSA acting deputy administrator

Kathleen Turco, chief financial officer at the General Services Administration, will become acting deputy administrator effective Nov. 1.

She will be taking over for Deputy Administrator David Bibb, who will become acting administrator following Administrator Stephen Perry's Oct. 31 departure.

At the same time, GSA General Counsel Alan Swendiman will become acting chief of staff.

“I am pleased that Kathleen and Alan will be serving in these key roles,” Perry said in a prepared statement. “Each brings with them a dedication to the agency’s goals and values and a commitment to continuously improving how GSA serves federal agencies and the American taxpayers.”
