Ed Hudson new head of General Dynamics division

Ed Hudson became senior vice president and general manager of the Global Information Services (GIS) Division of General Dynamics Information Technology, effective March 1.

Hudson will lead the GIS division and a diverse business base that includes IT infrastructure design and build, wireless infrastructure deployment services, radio frequency and core network engineering design, and professional services for large-scale commercial wireless carriers, public safety agencies and international and government enterprises.

Hudson will report to Mike Chandler, president of General Dynamics IT.

Most recently, Hudson was GIS' senior vice president of operations. During his career at General Dynamics, he has managed business development and contract bid and negotiation, as well as project planning and deployment of networks. Before joining General Dynamics, he managed technology and network consulting activities at Lucent Worldwide Services.
