DOE contract with SCI leads to promotion

Al Rodriguez has been promoted to senior vice president of SCI Oak Ridge Operations and Corporate Officer, according to a March 7 announcement from SCI Consulting Services.

In his new role, Rodriguez will be running the day-to-day operations of SCI's Oak Ridge office and continuing to be an active leader in key corporate functions such as finance, human resources, and future planning.

The promotion resulted from the Energy Department's selection of SCI for an information technology support services contract for its Oak Ridge, Tenn., Office of Science, Environmental Management and National Nuclear Security Administration. The small business set-aside contract is worth $135 million over five years, according to the compamu.

Rodriguez has been involved in the IT industry for more than 30 years, 21 of them at SCI.
