McAfee names VP of public sector

McAfee has appointed Mike Carpenter as senior vice president of the public-sector division, effective immediately, the company announced today. In his new role, Carpenter will be responsible for leading McAfee Federal, State and Local, Healthcare, and Education operations.

At McAfee, Carpenter most recently was vice president of Federal Operations, where he was responsible for asserting McAfee's place in government security by aggressively growing business across the Federal vertical market. Before that, Carpenter held multiple management roles at McAfee, including eastern regional director of government, health and education verticals, and western regional director of McAfee's enterprise commercial team.
