The New York Police Department is working on a system that will enable citizens to upload videos or photographs related to criminal activity, according to a report by Reuters.


"Everybody has a camera in their telephones. When people can record an event taking place that helps us during an investigation, it's helpful," said Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
