In the News: McConnell says policy will boost info sharing

Outgoing Director of National Intelligence Michael McConnell said he is preparing to put the finishing touches on a new policy that would dramatically increase information sharing in an effort to "marry up to technology," CQ Politics reports.

"McConnell said the policy would allow spy agencies to access each other’s intelligence databases much as Internet search engines such as Google allow Web users to retrieve data, with some limitations," CQ reports. In the event that lower-level leadership officials disagree on what information gets shared, DNI would resolve any disputes.
