Federal 100: Steve Krauss

Steve Krauss
Director of Corporate Development
Pragmatics

Under Steve Krauss’ leadership, AFCEA International’s Bethesda, Md., chapter has stepped up its influence in government IT circles.

Krauss, who recently joined Censeo Consulting Group, devoted countless hours to serving as the chapter’s president outside his day job at Pragmatics. His vision for the organization has helped transform it into an important forum for notables such as federal CIO Vivek Kundra to hear industry’s views.

In the past year, the chapter has grown, expanded the scope of its offerings, and increased its donations to the Children’s Inn and other charitable programs. Furthermore, by increasing the size of the board and bringing in a professional management firm to help run the chapter, Krauss has turned what had been a sporadically effective organization into a businesslike, results-oriented entity.
