Federal 100: David Mihalchik

David Mihalchik
Strategy and Business Development Lead
Google Federal

David Mihalchik is Google Federal’s go-to-guy on issues related to cloud computing in government.

An important part of his work in the past year was ensuring Google’s compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act requirements. It was a major milestone in cloud computing for industry and the government. Google’s e-mail application was the first in the industry to complete FISMA certification for a multitenant cloud application.

Mihalchik always takes the long view of what is best for his government clients, and his patience pays off. “It took a long period working with the Google engineers as well as with people in the General Services Administration and other agencies,” Mike Bradshaw, director of Google Federal, said of Mihalchik’s efforts.
