Obama signs 2011 spending bill

Funding in place for remainder of the fiscal year

The battle over the fiscal 2011 budget is history. President Barack Obama signed a bill late on April 15 to fund the government for the remainder of the fiscal year.

Congress had previously passed the bill after having reached an agreement late on April 8, just in time to avert a government shutdown.
