Eric Won is the new CIO at the Small Business Administration, a spokeswoman said today.
He started March 16.
Won has been the deputy CIO. Now he heads SBA’s information office, which is responsible for the agency’s information and IT management.
Before he was SBA's deputy CIO, Won served as the chief technologist in the General Services Administration’s Office of Governmentwide Policy. Won has worked nearly 30 years in the federal government at eight different agencies, and is also a former small-business owner.
Paul Christy, the former CIO, is now the chief operating officer at SBA.
