Zachary P. Baldwin
Project Manager
Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative

General Services Administration

The work: Giving agencies the tools they need to make smart decisions about data center consolidation.

The impact: The Office of Management and Budget has urged agencies to use Baldwin’s model to quantify the impact of consolidations and closures.

The nuts and bolts: Baldwin designed a methodology for collecting and analyzing data center information that concentrates on results, not just a reduction in numbers. It also lets agencies compare their data center management profiles against industry best practices.
