Public/private community builder. Ash wears several hats: CIO, chief Freedom of Information Act officer and senior accountable official for open government at NRC. And since last July, he also serves in a voluntary capacity as chairman of the American Council for Technology, where he has worked tirelessly to fuse stronger ties between government and industry and encourage more federal leaders to get involved in the community. Ash is being recognized in particular for his efforts to change ACT's conference model from one-shot deals to a set of linked discussions throughout the year.
