Speeding benefits to baby boomers. Sparks led the initiative to launch My Social Security, a feature that lets people safely and securely access their Social Security information online. Since it went live in May 2012, more than 1 million people have signed up so they can check benefit and payment information and review estimates of their retirement, disability and survivor's benefits. By reducing the need to print and mail such information, Sparks has saved significant money while giving the public much-needed access to government information.
