Federal 100: Teresa H. Carlson

Teresa H. Carlson

Name: Teresa H. Carlson
Title: Vice President of the Worldwide Public Sector
Company: Amazon Web Services

Big-data dynamo. As vice chairwoman of the TechAmerica Foundation's Big Data Commission, Carlson helped drive the group's big-data report by lining up Amazon's resources and working across several companies to deliver research data that highlighted the promise of big data. Carlson is widely known across the industry as a proponent of good government who looks for solutions that have the taxpayer in mind. About the only thing that could slow Carlson down in 2012 was Hurricane Sandy, which forced the cancellation of ACT-IAC's Executive Leadership Conference, which she had helped organize.

Carlson is also a winner of the 2013 Eagle Award. Read her Eagle profile.
