The cybersecurity budget leader. Charged with overseeing the formulation and execution of nearly $2.5 billion of DHS budget authority, Darling coordinates high-level management, budget and policy issues for agencies such as the National Protection and Programs Directorate, Secret Service, and Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. He has also been involved in the Obama administration's continuous monitoring initiatives to enhance cybersecurity. Darling “is a superb analyst who has taken the time to understand cybersecurity complexities and has effectively established communication and collaboration channels between multiple agencies to ensure stakeholder input throughout the cybersecurity budgeting process,” said Lisa Schlosser, federal deputy CIO.
