Federal 100: Mary Davie

Mary Davie

Name: Mary Davie
Title: Acting Commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service
Agency: General Services Administration

Leadership in a crisis. Davie stepped into the role of acting FAS commissioner when GSA was recovering from a conference-spending fiasco. She was instrumental in helping Acting Administrator Dan Tangherlini lead a top-to-bottom review at GSA and continued working to support his ongoing efforts to reconfigure the agency. "She did an outstanding job leading FAS at a critical time for the agency, and we would not be where we are today without her hard work and dedication," Tangherlini said. She served as acting commissioner until Tom Sharpe took on the job in 2013.
