Federal 100: Lt. Col. Rocky A. Favorito

Lt. Col. Rocky A. Favorito

Name: Lt. Col. Rocky A. Favorito
Title: Commander of the 374th Communications Squadron
Agency: U.S. Air Force

DOD’s Asia-Pacific IT hero. Despite a blistering operations tempo and significant resource challenges after Japan’s earthquake/tsunami/nuclear crisis, Favorito brilliantly led 42 organizations to “outstanding” ratings during Yokota Air Base’s 2012 Cyber Command Readiness Inspection. His unit’s rating was the best in the Air Force for 2012 and one of the highest in the Defense Department. He aced three other major inspections in six months and migrated 5,000 base computers and users into the new Air Force Enterprise Network in less than four weeks. He is now enrolled in the Cyber Horizons program at the Air War College.
