Big-data mover. Miller led the effort to implement one of the largest and most complex transactional databases in the world, the IRS’ Customer Account Data Engine 2. She was responsible for the development and integration of the new database and for implementing the necessary changes so the IRS could switch from weekly to daily processing of tax filings. “Kate Miller has been a key leader in the IRS’ modernization efforts,” said Gretchen McCoy, the agency’s associate CIO for modernization. “Her innovative spirit and dedication are very much valued across the IT organization and the IRS.”
