Late summer can only mean one thing for fans of undersea TV: Shark Week. But the Discovery Channel is not the only one filming sharks, and for the Southeast Fisheries Science Center's Suzy Kohin, watching these breathtaking creatures occupies far more than one week each year.
The SEFSC is part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which oversees six regional fishery offices. In this segment, Kohin explains how scientists use satellite tags and detailed data monitoring to track Mako and Blue Sharks so they can learn how to protect them from being accidently caught by fishermen.
