Name: Michael Daniel
Title: Special Assistant to the President and Cybersecurity Coordinator
Agency: Executive Office of the President

Cyber force. Daniel is the face of the White House's activities on cybersecurity. He has helped lead President Barack Obama's executive order on cybersecurity to fruition and then championed it across the country. He has also been involved in the development of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's cybersecurity guidance, the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace, and related activities at the Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency. Supporters say Daniel's effectiveness stems from years of experience with intelligence community budgeting at the Office of Management and Budget, which gives him a unique expertise in intelligence issues and how they intersect with cybersecurity.
