Veterans' warfighter. Dougherty is on a mission to improve veterans' opportunities in the workforce. He made sure EMC played a founding role in the 100,000 Jobs Mission, an organization focused on hiring veterans. The 126 participating companies have hired 92,869 veterans for corporate positions. Dougherty also represents EMC on the White House's Joining Forces initiative, which provides support for military families, and has offered his insight into successful ways to transition veterans from battlefields to offices. His efforts are leading to a shift in corporate America's attitudes toward veterans.
