Spearheading cyber. Franz is responsible for the development, structure, training and operations of the nation's emerging cyber mission forces, but he goes beyond those requirements in coordinating the cyber build-up across the military services. He produced the first cyber forces concept of operations and successfully lobbied to prioritize cyber spending. Hailed as the command's foremost expert and problem-solver in the development of U.S. cyber forces, Franz is credited with leading an emerging national cyber force that hit the ground running and continues to grow.
