Federal 100: Randy Fuerst

Name: Randy Fuerst
Title: President and Chief Operating Officer
Company: Oceus Networks

Broadband innovator. Under Fuerst's leadership, Oceus Networks became the first company to provide 4G LTE mobile solutions at the secret level for the Defense Department. A ship-to-ship communications project for the Naval Air Systems Command used Oceus' Xiphos tool, a rapidly deployable broadband solution. For the Federal Communications Commission, Oceus and Space Data showed how Xiphos technology mounted on a high-altitude balloon could provide broadband coverage to first responders in an emergency, a crucial demonstration of the practicality of a nationwide broadband public safety network and of Fuerst's mission to position Oceus as a leader in communications and mobile solutions.
