Name: James Hird
Title: Chief of Cyber Modeling and Simulation, 90th Information Operations Squadron

Cyberspace simulator. Thanks to Hird, the 90th Information Operations Squadron ran two cybersecurity training events in which participants worked as either adversaries or defenders of a simulated network. Hird focused on creating the Distributed Mission Operations Center-Cyber, which was used in conjunction with the Air Force's cyber warfare simulation center to provide a secure environment for developing and fielding both offensive and defensive cyberspace-contested environments. Simulations of this degree were a first for the Air Force.
