The cyber patriot. Kent has been instrumental in the success of the CyberPatriot program, a national cyber defense competition created by the Air Force Association to inspire high school students to pursue careers in cybersecurity and other science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines. Kent works with almost 2,000 high schools around the country to provide the infrastructure necessary to enable collaboration for the event. At Cisco, he broke down corporate walls to create partnerships with other vendors and find new and innovative approaches to help agencies achieve their missions under tight budget constraints.
