Cyberspace superstar. Rogers is credited with developing integrated network defenses and refining command and control as part of the effort to give the U.S. the upper hand in cyberspace. He has also been active in building the next generation of cyber warriors by leading the creation of Navy cyber mission force teams, establishing guidelines for cyber workforce development, promoting outreach to academia, and meticulously managing the administrative functions of manning, training and equipping Navy cyber forces. His selection as the next commander of U.S. Cyber Command reinforces what Navy leaders characterize as outstanding leadership in the Defense Department's cyber domain.
