She was instrumental in the development of RapidStat, used at the National Institutes of Health to enable non-programmers to take advantage of big data. RapidStat has cut costs by 95 percent. She also helped Navy personnel use the Navy Enterprise Portal-Oceanography to combine weather data and programs to create apps for specific missions. And she introduced new intranet capabilities that have enabled the Small Business Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs to make business decisions based on geospatial data.
