The leader in security compliance. Scholl's strategic direction ensured that the new Cybersecurity Framework rests on sound technical and security foundations. He also led NIST's actions in response to the Digital Government Strategy and the cross-agency priority goal on cybersecurity. He enabled the secure configuration of all government Windows-based desktop computers, increased the security of credit card transactions worldwide, and set up industry tools to effectively implement and monitor secure configurations. He was the key to NIST's role in moving the government's approach to security compliance from periodic analysis to continuous monitoring by expanding the use of automated tools and creating new opportunities for vendors.
