Federal 100: Lt. Gen. Ronnie D. Hawkins Jr.

Ronnie Hawkins Jr

Name: Lt. Gen. Ronnie D. Hawkins Jr.
Title: Director
Defense Information Systems Agency
Agency: Defense Department

The gatekeeper. Hawkins has one of the hardest jobs in federal IT: to help protect the Pentagon's global information networks, which are under unrelenting cyberattack. JRSS might not win headlines, but it is the kind of labor-intensive project that will make DOD networks more secure.
