Federal 100: J. Eric Markland

Eric Markland

Name: J. Eric Markland
Title: Director of Ashore Modernization and Integration
Navy Information Dominance Forces
Agency: Department of the Navy

The JIE realist. Markland is one of the people taking the Joint Information Environment, a Defense Department-wide initiative to standardize IT security, from abstraction to reality. His success might have something to do with what one colleague describes as an "infectious enthusiasm."
