Federal 100: Loren Yu

Name: Loren Yu
Title: Co-Founder
Company: NAVA

Agile fixer. When the botched launch of HealthCare.gov threatened to derail the Affordable Care Act, Yu was part of the team of tech wizards that came to the rescue. He worked with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to decrease the site's response times and replaced the identity management system, the culprit behind most of the site's issues. The new Scalable Login System operates smoothly and saves the government millions in annual maintenance costs. In addition to his continued work on HealthCare.gov, Yu co-founded Nava as a public benefit corporation that seeks to continue modernizing government IT through innovation and agile development.
