Federal 100: Judith R. Zawatsky

Name: Judith R. Zawatsky
Title: MAS Transformation Program Manager, Office of the Commissioner
Federal Acquisition Service
Agency: General Services Administration

Award manager. Zawatsky solicited and synthesized user feedback to shape the government's next-generation platform for managing grants and other awards -- the Integrated Award Environment. Consensus is not easy to achieve when more than 3 million employees of federal, state and local governments; Congress; and businesses large and small rely on IAE to manage their grants. But by harnessing online and in-person focus groups, Zawatsky helped create a system that works for everyone. Her success prompted officials to ask her to take on the newly created role of MAS transformation program manager at the Federal Acquisition Service earlier this year.
