Connecting for vets. The VA had no shortage of problems to address in 2016, and Collier’s job was to make the most of outside partners who could help. Tasked with creation, strategy and execution of the newly formed strategic partnerships team, he worked tirelessly to improve engagement with industry, academia, nonprofit organizations and other government agencies. Collier’s team launched several high-profile events focused on mild traumatic brain injury, the needs of military caregivers, cancer research and other topics, but the true value has come behind the scenes as the new collaborations continue.
