Migration expert. Abdalla’s expertise in leveraging agile development techniques to transform outdated manual processes is transforming USCIS’ Electronic Immigration System. ELIS is slated to become a completely electronic service by 2020, thanks to Abdalla’s efforts to inject containerized applications, microservices-based architecture and other agile methodologies. She is no stranger to such work. She led her agency’s move to cloud microservices, pushed for the adoption of automated continuous build and delivery pipelines, and was responsible for DHS’ first online application.
