Name: Frederick D. Moorefield Jr.
Title: Acting Principal Director to the Deputy CIO for C4IIC
Agency: Defense Department

Mr. Spectrum. Moorefield worked with the White House and the Commerce Department to develop the first National Spectrum Strategy, which will help policymakers meet U.S. spectrum needs now and in the future. It will also help align the government’s research, development, testing and evaluation efforts. In addition, he oversees DOD’s complex $4.3 billion spectrum relocation and spectrum access research and development efforts. And he serves on the Defense Science Board, where he is studying the implications of next-generation 5G wireless technology. His colleagues say his unique mix of technical and diplomatic skills makes him an invaluable leader at DOD and across the government.
