Blue sky thinking. Brown is known for taking on groundbreaking initiatives. He manages a $70 million fund that is developing strategic partnerships between the Air Force and small businesses and startups to find creative commercial solutions to the service's challenges. But one of his biggest achievements has been changing how the service, and the Defense Department at large, uses artificial intelligence. In 2019, Brown helped establish the Air Force's AI Accelerator at MIT and serves as the lead Air Force representative to the Joint AI Center, where he led the Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief National Mission Initiative.
